Google Search’s Changes
Outside of Google Assistant, Google is making some cool interactive changes to Search that are very useful. For example, the company rolled out an interactive periodic table that you can access through Google’s experiments. With it, you can actually dig into the elements and learn about them in a way that’s both fun and useful.
Google Search on mobile is also getting a live translation feature that’ll make it easier to remember a specific word or phrase.
Google Assistant Updates
Family Bell is a feature designed to ping everyone in a household to remind them of something with Google Home device. Now, Google has made it so you can use Family Bell on mobile devices, not just Nest displays and Speakers. Additionally, Google has made it so you can initiate checklists for your family on Nest Hub. So when you have a bunch of stuff your family needs to get done, this feature could come in handy.
Routines are another feature getting an upgrade today, as Google announced that you can have Assistant automatically start your morning routine as soon as you dismiss your alarm. When you’re half asleep in the morning, there’s nothing better than automating all the stuff you need to do.
For Harry Potter fans, Google is adding the ability to say, “Hey Google, tell me a Fantastic Beasts Story,” and you’ll hear a story from Pottermore Publishing.
Finally, Google is making it easier to play games on Google Assistant. You can say, “Hey Google, talk to Guess the Drawing for Kids,” to get a puzzle game going on your Assistant devices.
